Featured Artist: Judith Hoste
Judith is a multi award artist and teacher living in Kanwal, near Wyong, NSW., Judith's art life commenced in 1981 when she attended Oil painting classes with a very well known teacher, Mrs. Ethel Jamieson in Booker Bay. From there, Watercolour and Pastel classes followed and Judith commenced tutoring in these mediums from 1985. Judith also incorporates Acrylic tuition in her teaching.
In her Intermediate final school year 1958, at Penshurst Girls High, Judith was awarded top of the year in Art.
Judith is a member of the Central Coast Art Society, the Central Coast Watercolour Society and Toukley & Districts Art Society, being a past President of the Central Coast Art Society.
Judith has been exhibiting since 1984 at local, country and interstate exhibitions, receiving her first award in 1999 with continued success to the present day.
The most outstanding award was winning the Scone Art Prize in 2009 with a Pastel entry, plus the painting sold at the exhibition.
Judith is a popular tutor with the local art societies, plus has received invites to tutor with art groups away from the Central Coast and as far away as Norfolk Island.
Over the years Judith has had success with sales at: The Royal Easter Show, Mosman Art Prize, Gosford Art Prize, Parramatta Foundation Art Awards, Currabubula Red Cross Art Show, Scone Art Prize, Bright Autumn Art Prize, Kiama, Blackheath, Tarana, Singleton and many more local exhibitions.
Judith's work is represented in the U.K., U.S.A., New Zealand,
South Africa, South Korea, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Bulgaria.
