Workshop Information:
1st and 3rd Wednesday (February to November)
Arrive at 9.45 am to start at 10.00 am.     Finish at 1.00 pm
Studio 2, Gosford Regional Gallery and Arts Centre.
Cost $25.00 per week.
Bookings are essential.

Gosford Regional Gallery and Arts Centre provide plenty of convenient parking and disability access.

Workshop in Oils with Noeline Millar

7 June – 10am-4pm Bookings close 31 May
Landscape with Creek using Oils on Canvas Board.
As this is a full day workshop the cost is $50. There will be a 30-minute lunch break so you will need to bring your lunch or buy it from the Gallery Café. Set up is from 9.30am.

MATERIALS
 Bring all the usual oil paints in your collection. Transparent colours preferred!
Must haves are: Ultra Blue, Burnt Sienna, Cobalt Blue, Thalo Green, Yellow Deep, Yellow Ochre and Alizarin Crimson plus Titanium White.
 Good large brush essential!
 Flat bristle or golden nylon brushes - small to large plus liner brush for detail.
 Pre-primed canvas board 24 x 18 inches or smaller if preferred.
 Oil painting medium plus palette and knife for applying paint. NOT too small. Must have stepped blade.
 Odourless turps or substitute and rags etc.
 Drop sheet.
 Upright easel if you have one! Much preferred to painting flat.

21 June - Create Your Own Watercolour Coptic Sketchbook - Kathy McCombie

Kathy is an experienced artist and sketchbook maker who will teach you how to create a coptic sketchbook with watercolour and mixed media paper. A coptic sketchbook is ideal for watercolour painting, sketching and urban sketching as it lays flat and allows for double spreads.You can choose your preferred paper type and size, and use recycled materials for the cover. In this workshop, you will make an A5 sketchbook.

Japanese Paper Printing and Collage Art

I am a local artist who has been living and working on the Central Coast for over 20 years. I have a passion for art and I enjoy working in various media and styles. I love the Gelli Plate because it is fun, unpredictable and addictive. I hope you will join me for this workshop and discover the joy of Gelli Plate printing.
​
You'll receive information about the Gelli Plate, care of same & where to purchase and important information about papers to use.
Learn about quantities of paint and using your roller and how to print with many inexpensive items, including making your own stencils with Mylar and using a glue gun. I will bring my stencils and notes on products and where to go on YouTube to learn heaps more.

2 August - Bubbles & Bokeh
​with Irene Collings

As a self-taught artist, I have learned a lot from various classes and workshops. I enjoy experimenting with different concepts and styles, which makes my art diverse and dynamic. I always embrace new challenges and have fun with my art.
​In this workshop I will be working on painting ‘Bubbles’ using negative painting with a limited palette as well as exploring the ‘Bokeh’ effect.

16 August - Country Landscapes
with Joe Cartwright

In this full day workshop, you will learn from Joe's demonstrations and exercises how to master the techniques and principles of watercolour painting. You will also get feedback and guidance from Joe as you practice your own skills and develop your own style. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced painter, you will benefit from Joe's experience and enthusiasm.
This is a rare opportunity to learn from one of Australia's best watercolour artists.
All CCAS workshops are held in Studio 2, Gosford Regional Art Gallery. A FULL DAY workshop ($50) in watercolour scheduled for August 16th 2023 from 10.00am-4.00pm (bring your own lunch or buy from the cafe at the Gallery)
