These are the locations for us to Meet, Sketch and Paint on Tuesday mornings. It's hard to have the perfect location with perfect weather that suits everyone. We have had some very successful locations, ones that we have all enjoyed. Your suggestions for new locations or favourites you would like to revisit, are always welcome. If you haven't been before, bring your choice of painting or sketching gear and come along. 9:30-10am is a good time to start then we like to gather at 11.45am for "Throw Down" and show and photograph our mornings work. 2025 October 7th - COPACABANA SURF CLUB & CAFE, Del Monte Drive, Copacabana. Parking is across the road, opposite the Surf Club. October 14th - ANDERSONS BOAT SHED & MARINA, 3a Petit Street, Booker Bay (off Booker Bay Road) Phone: 4341 3219. Thanks to Ern for suggesting this as a location. You will need to bring your chair, hat, thermos and eats. There is very little undercover shelter. There is a toilet available. October 21st - PIONEER PARK & HISTORICAL CEMETERY at the end of Albany Street, East Gosford. This is a popular location, one we always enjoy. For the energetic ones, there is a walk way down the hill to the waterfront and rock platform, with panoramic views out across the water. Toilets are available. You will need to bring your thermos for coffee and eats. October 28th - RUMBALARA RESERVE, via Dolly Avenue, Springfield. Drive through the gate, follow the road on up the hill until you come to the Carpark and Picnic area. We are back to nature again. Trees, trees and more trees and interesting rock formations. This is a great place to be inspired by natural beauty. Nice open picnic areas. Toilet facilities available. Bring your thermos and eats. The lookout gives panoramic views out of Gosford. November 4th - PATONGA. Along Patonga Creek Waterfront in the Caravan Park, at the end of Patonga Drive, Patonga. Drive in through the main entrance, down to the waterfront. Nice shady trees and picnic tables. Cafe and toilets available. For those who would like to join me, following Throw Down, fish and chips at the local pub. November 11th - WAGSTAFFE. The Village of Wagstaffe. We will meet at the Picnic area next to the Wagstaffe Hall, Mulhall Street, Wagstaffe, just up from the jetty and ferry wharf. The Jacarandas are always the feature for our paintouts at Wagstaffe. Coffee and lunch available from the local store. November 18th - THE ENTRANCE. Along the Entrance Road waterfront, The Entrance, at the end of Oakland Avenue. This is always a favourite location, one of my favourites. Toilets are near the bridge. Cafes along a little further. November 25th - PEARL BEACH. The Pearl Beach waterfront. Nice big, shady pine trees in the park area near the toilets, unfortunately, the cafe is still closed and also owing to a fire so is the restaurant. Bring your thermos and eats. Maybe a picnic lunch is a thought. December 2nd - KARIONG. Mt Penang Parklands. In the past, this has been a popular location for you to roam around the Gardens at your leisure, sketching and painting where and what you like. The Waterfall Cafe will be our Home Base. We will gather there for Throw Down about 11.30am, to show and photograph our mornings work and for Lunch. There is a beautiful Jacaranda tree in the grounds near the Cafe. Another nice place is along the water, at the back of the toilet building. December 9th - AVOCA BEACH. We will meet at Hunter Park, adjoining the Avoca Beach Cinema. Someone has suggested Fish and Chips for lunch. December 16th - DAVISTOWN. This will be our last paintout for the year. The waterfront at the end of Restella Street, Davistown. Following Throw Down, our Christmas Get Together at the Davistown RSL Club. THERE WILL BE A SHORT BREAK OVER CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR. PAINTOUTS WILL RESUME JANUARY 6TH, 2026. January 6th - WAMBERAL. For many years, it has been a tradition for the first paintout of the year, is along the Wamberal Lagoon waterfront, Remembrance Drive, Wamberal. We will meet at the first picnic shelter. At the very end of the street, there is a walkway through to the toilets in the Surf Club Car Park. For those who want to join me, following Throw Down, lunch will be at the Surf Club.
